Project Ninety is extending its programs northward
with the opening of its Napa Valley Program in July,
2005. Project Ninety will serve both men and women
in this 50-bed facility. It will offer its proven residential recovery treatment as well as a social model detoxification program.

Residents’ average length of stay in the Detoxification Program will last two to six days. During that time clients will be assessed initially for detoxification symptoms every six hours, then every 12 hours, followed by a steppeddown 24-hour time frame. Staff members will monitor residents’ psychological and physical health to avoid any potential consequences of detoxification, and they will make referrals for medical and psychological assessment when necessary. Clients will have routine and reliable access to Napa County medical services.

The men and women will enter the residential
treatment program upon completion of their detoxification
— receiving group or individual education and
individual counseling, and taking ownership of their
environment. The intensive curriculum will provide
structured activities to address drug use and all aspects
of a person’s recovery, including any associated
medical, psychological, social, vocational and legal
problems.
